The Telegraph understands the grounds the company has put forward for the challenge include claims that the fines were unlawfully denominated into euros, which goes against UK legislation indicating that all fines should be given in pounds.

It also claims the EPC is using an excessively high exchange rate when converting these fines. It has said that the maximum penalty for Lez should be £3,000 but is being issued at €3,600 (£3,200) when Dutch drivers are receiving fines.

Another key claim will centre on the fact that, in many cases, multiple fines were sent at the same time. The case will argue that if fines were sent as and when they happened, drivers and companies may have been able to change their behaviour to avoid further sanctions.

I have a feeling someone will be losing their job this afternoon....

I was on an airport run, 2 routes jammed, the third said the road was closed on Google (it was fucking lying, as I found out on the way back) so I took a fourth, that just happens to run near the Severn. No road closed signs from our end until you got to it, they'd used them all on the other side of it, cunts.

May* have decided to risk it in the Tonka toy Terios, not a problem, get round the corner and there's a fucking bus in the hedge Get closer and realise there's a driver snd a load of passengers on it No time to stop as a plane to catch but there didn't seem to be anyone panicking anyway.

5 mins up the road and cop cars, cop van, fire engine and rescue with two inflatables all on Blues and twos going the other way. Good job we weren't 10 mins later as it was a proper detour back to get round it!

How the chuff have they ended up there? I can't imagine a bus aqua planes particularly easily, trying a last minute dodge round the road closed sign?
