Along with an Excel spreadsheet tabling the noise at different speeds over a variety of road surfaces in different weather conditions.

It's called taking the piss, a form of humour.
Obviously not your style of humour, whatever that is.

But it's not really much humour when it's got old and not funny any more?
It's not even banter are that only works when the other person is around to have banter with. Otherwise it's just being a weirdo.

But I don't think it will ever get old and unfunny with some of the characters on there. Everyone has a different sense of humour though, anything toilet humour and id be nearly crying and the ex wife would be stoney glaring at me. It's good to be different, life would be boring otherwise

I'm with SiC as I hate noisy tyres! I chose the Bridgestones on the Jag as they were the quietest on the (own manufacturer) ratings. I'm pleased so far as they are, very quiet, grip well and I... sad old twat that I am, like the tread pattern!
The cheap and nasty Chinese things that were on the back before were pretty much new but they DID make a racket and they also caused a vibration (very mild it has to be said) when accelerating uphill.
When I was younger, so long as they had tread, all was right with the world, now I'm old, I'm fussy as fuck!

Re: Sics Consolidated Moderns Thread - 2003 Mercedes-Benz E320 Estate
In other S211 news, the brake pad light came on on mine on Christmas Eve, wasn’t sure which end so took it into Waseem , my go to man, yesterday. Got him to do an oil and filter change plus tranny filter and refill. The bloke I bought it off said it was due this year and as I’ve done almost 10,000 miles in it since I bought it in August and intend this to be a ‘ forever car’. I thought , fuck it, why not?
I’ll tell you why not, we’ve decided to sell it ! I haven’t even picked it up yet due to eating and drinking commitments. The management has decided that due to my impending 60th year and the surprise of me ( nearly) achieving it , I should be driving something befitting a man of my status.
So, if anybody wants to enjoy* similar ( but slower) fun times to SiC and AMC Rebel, Chuck me a couple of Bags.
Don’t know what sort of tyres it’s got, but they’re nice and quiet
If tiny.

I've just fitted a new pair of tyres to the Micra. I bought Lassas. They'll do the job. However, I lost the back end turning left on a 30mph road which suggests I should have bought 4 as the fronts now significantly outgrip the rears.
