Re: What did you do today?
I nearly gave him a deposit though.
I'm seriously thinking of leaving the gf in the new year and fucking off back to Bedlington. I was out with a few of my mates and the footie team in Morpeth on Saturday night and I miss those days and they are few and far between. £56 in a fucking taxi.
She refuses to give me a lift to my local Christmas day too.

I was tempted but the tax
Your rover's even better but want just a little bit more doing than I'd like. I just want to get in and drive these days unfortunately.

Re: What did you do today?
Aye just gone up to £59 too.
The thing that's killing it for me is that I can't do the bottom arms on the 75 myself, they are a stupid design that requires massive hammers to get them out the subframe. Sometimes they just come off, but if they get stuck, christ almighty they are stuck. £200 for a pair and no doubt some healthy labour on top

Re: What did you do today?
I have been offered a diesel C30 or this 2003 old gen 9-3 as a swap for my 9-3.
I'd even take the sme type as mine but woth a manual box. My black 93 was about £30 ish a mo th to tax which is much more palatable.
Not bad offers tbf but I'm attracted to neither. The blue 9-3 is a 2.0 petrol manual non Turbo. Slower but still quite pricey in the tax ar £35 per month (better than £59 though).I'd even take the sme type as mine but woth a manual box. Re: What did you do today?
Is it really worth it to save £250 a year? Surely the cost to change insurance and put your plate on will eat any savings you make in the first year at least?Split_Pin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 6:00 pm I have been offered a diesel C30 or this 2003 old gen 9-3 as a swap for my 9-3.

The C30 Diesel has that awful engine that fucks itself on a regular basis.

Re: What did you do today?
Should have seen the diesel convertible Saab I got offered with a clutch that needed bled which was an 'easy fix'. Oh and out of MOT for 7 years. His scrap for my decent example.
Anyway, as Jazoli mentioned, by the time I take my plate off the car at £80, swap insurance and potentially have new problems on a new car, any cost saving will be small at best and most likely negated entirely.
So, yeah, I've shitcanned the idea and will just sorn my example for a couple of months and there's £118 saving for no effort.
