Even better a Bluebird diesel, a million taxi drivers can't be wrong.
The diesel Bluey wasn't a cheap fix when it went wrong though. Not very economical either.

Seat 170 tdi was purchased .... i was forced to go and look afterwards .... it has plenty of minor faults, but you know, it's a 15 year old car ...

Needs gearbox rebuild and clutch, turbo whistling it's tits off and three central locking actuators.
Or mine did all within about two months of buying it. 60k miles and full history. Thankfully all done under warranty.
Gearbox started doing it's shaking thing again about three months later so I fucked it off to some Asian lads from Manchester.

He's gone to chichester in it ,and arrived, with my daughter, and he's happy with it .and the car. Tailgate struts are weak but they're only a tenner a pair . Might just be the cold finishing them off .
