Doors fitted in about 90 minutes and I had some paint mixed to spray a secondhand wing.

No more pics because of the beige triangle of doom.

Not yet. I'm driving the fucker.

When the time comes it will be departing whole via Cartakeback. You've seen the kind of lowlife who drive these turds? Not getting involved with them.

I've always fancied a 130i. Maybe even as a coupé. A short wheelbase RWD hatch with a big straight six n/a - not much else like it as a modern(-ish) now.

Please don't judge me too much though.

A late 125i Coupe is the one to have. It's 3.0 and can be chipped to 250 brake.

A late 120d Coupe would be good but the hatchback stuff is all landfill.

I keep looking at the Z4 coupé too. Quite expensive for a Z4 but cheap against an equivalent aged Cayman. Iirc the 3.0 Si that comes in the Z4 coupé is more powerful than the the standard Z4 roadster 3.0?

Diesel no good as CAZ nearby. Plus I prefer petrol engines to drive and maintain anyway.

The Si has the N52 engine, Valvetronic, electric coolant pump etc. 258 bhp and totally different to the 231 bhp M54 (derived from the 1990 M50) in the original Z4. The N52 went into the Roadster around 2006 ish. It's a good engine but:

-Oil leaks because BMW. Cam cover, oil filter housing, vanos solenoids.
-Electric water pump. £300 and a PITA to replace.
-Auxiliary belt tensioner. They wear, tilting the belt inwards until the bely comes off - inwards. It's not unknown for the belt to get jammed behind the crank pulley and forced past the crank oil seal and into the engine.

A new tensioner is cheap though as are the oil leak fixes.

The Z4 Coupe is a certain classic but they were a very hard sell when new.
