Re: Found pics
I would never slag the LC off. A lot of my friends had 250's and 350's that I rode from time to time, and were all in various states of tuneWarren t claim wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 9:08 pm
The LC was more durable than the coffin tanked air cooled Yams.
Anyone who slags the LC off has clearly never ridden one from 80cc to 500cc.
I just found the air-cooled 350's and 400's more involving to ride, but not better than the LC's.
Incidentally my nephew had a RD500 and then an RG500. Said he is glad to have owned them, but would not have another. He still has his LC350 that he has had for 30 odd years. 25 of those have seen it sat in his garage, broken.

Re: Found pics
I had an RD500, bought as a bit of a bender, straightened and loved it. Horrible in traffic with that long first gear but otherwise, immense fun... even in the rain!
And I HATE riding in the rain!

Re: Found pics
Hopefully so. Mine was only ever ridden side sadly illegally up the lane until I heard someone coming, then pretended to be pushed. After the cattle grid and on the common it was away tho and 5 miles or so of common etc was within reach including all sorts of quarry workings

Re: Found pics
We had a C90 and a Suzuki250 GT as kids, our favourite bit of wasteland had a wicked jump and obviously we competed for height and distance . We marked landing points with a coat .
There was this lad who was a total bellend but had an actual Motorcrosser* well I say crosser it was a Suzuki TS185 , anyway one day we were doing jumps when he turned up and gatecrashed , he landed about 6 feet further than our best on the GT. But we told him he was a bit short, I then did a pathetic leap on the Honda which we told him equalled his best.
“ Right then, watch this” he says wheelieing off up the field fag in mouth, well he hit the jump doing about 40 or 50 , went about 20 feet in the air and landed, well crashed a good 30 feet beyond anything we’d ever done. Of course he jumped up fag still clamped between his bleeding lips, saying “ That didn’t hurt “ apart from bent levers and bars the TS took it surprisingly well .
