Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Is there someone knocking out (or has done recently) new builds of a Z900? Sure I saw a green and gold one today on something like a 69 plate. It might have been a near-clone although the tank and the seat unit looked right. He was giving it a bit so I never really clocked the whole bike as it filtered past.

I'd love one to be honest, but unless I can persuade the dogs to ride pillion, there's not a lot of point!

I'd park it in the front room, just to look at, but Chester would pee on it.

Sidecar? That (along with trikes) is surely the worst of both worlds, wet and cold like a bike while stuck in the traffic like a car.

Anyway, sidecars scare the shit out of me, accelerate turning right and slow turning left or is it the other way around?

Yes I owned one, it was alright but not the second coming most mags make it out to be.

I ordered some new tyres for my 14 yesterday, expected delivery Weds-Fri. They've turned up already! Quite impressed with that. Even better got it booked in for them to be fitted tomorrow afternoon, I expected not to get legal tyres back on it till next week.

Guess I'll find out what the Avon Spirit STs that have replaced their excellent 3DXMs are like sooner than expected.

I have a new tyre fitted to the front of VFR, the whole bike has been given a clean and has come up remarkably well considering it hasn't really been cleaned in the last ten thousand miles. I will try and keep it a bit cleaner this year, maybe, probably, but as it will be used for work most days through winter this may not happen.
In terms of performance, handling, comfort, reliability and the price I paid, this has to be the best bike I have ever owned.

If I had the money I would maybe uprate the rear shock and front brakes, and have an HRC inspired paintjob, but that isn't going to happen soon, so I will just ride round it's shortcomings.

I am just waiting for the brake parts from eBay, hopefully they will be here tomorrow, also hopefully everything will go smoothly when I fit them. It usually does...

Then I can get a retest and I will have some transport for the first time since nearly three weeks ago.
