Roll up Roll up Ladies and gentlemen, girls and boys, lamp posts, wardrobes, cats and dogs. Here is your chance to purchase one of Harley Davidsons iconic models. The Fat Boy.
Ideal for the camp ones amongst us. I can just see the scenario now. Swaggering into the local non straight latte serving establishment dressed like a member of Village people crossed with someone who visits The Blue Oyster Club proclaiming to have just been for an exhilarating ride on your Fat Boy……….Instant street cred…..
Or you could order an 1888 Sawn off repeating Winchester 12 bore and become a modern Day Arni lookalike and act out your favorite scenes from Terminator 2 although on a more modern version of the one he stole.
But more likely you are just gonna spend more time polishing the shiny bits than actually impressing your Sportster owning pals by riding it.
She was treated to Progressive Suspension front and rear a while ago so the podgy ones amongst us (I resemble that remark) won’t be scraping any frame rails on sleeping policemen.
Tyres are similar to the wheels on the bus. They go round and round. Oh yea I nearly forgot to mention. They are not white either. But they do have good tread and are not old.
Her complexion is well manicured and certainly better than some modern bikes to come from the MoCo that dissolve before your very eyes on a slightly misty morning.
More recently she had heated grips fitted to keep your wanking paddles warm when the temp gets below 20c.
Rear pillion seat included so you can let others swing a leg over your Fat Boy.
Also included is a riders backrest for the fully paid up members of Sons Of Arthritis can rest their spine when posing down the high street.
In the eyes of Harley aficionados here in the UK she has been around the block a few times with 39k miles under her belt. Across the pond she would be considered barely run in. I really don't know why folks over here think a Harley with over 5k miles is a high miler???
She has a certificate of good health running till May next year. Also coming with the old girl is a folder with lots of receipts and previous MOT certs, 2 keys and fobs, and the owner's book with dealer some service history.
She fires right up with a single poke at her go button and purrs like a Mack V12 truck running down hill with jake brake applied (Youtube is your friend)!!!
She vibrates similar to a lady toy from under the bed.
Sheds bits faster than a Soho stripper looking at a 20 quid note
Leaks more oil than the Exon Valdes.
Good runner, You’ll need to be to start her.
Genuine reason for sale. Leaving the country when I have your money
Will I take a bike in PX? Yup of course. No Cars though
Will I deliver? Nope but if you contact Greg at https://www.facebook.com/2wheelstomove I’m pretty sure you will be surprised at his prices.
Now for the small print.
Please seek permission from your carer, mum, dad, partner or fellow lamp post etc before contacting me. Also please make sure you have the readies for attempting to make your new purchase. I ain’t holding anything till your bereavement check from ya great aunt Mabel's estate to clear or your bi-annual bonus is decided. If ya aint got the dosh. Jog on

No working link as it's a closed FB group, but the best advert I've ever seen for a HD FatBoy.

Re: EBay Finds
£190 would be too much. A mate had one in this colour, may even be the same one but back then it wasn't scrap like this example. I confess to owning an orange 1300 125P saloon but in mitigation it was a one owner car, just over three years old with 40k on the clock and cost me 200 quid and my 40 quid HC Viva. That said it was a pile of shit, unrefined engine, very heavy steering and was also beginning to rust. Oh and the gearbox decided to start jumping out of first and third which was a case of 'they all do that sir'. Had a recon box put in and the bastard thing broke its fan belt on the M2 on the way home. The two good things about it were the heater and the headlights on full beam. Third good thing, sold it to a friend's father in law for 550 quid so did make a profit.

Re: EBay Finds
The straightest looking Mk 5 I've seen in a long time. chain drive engine, low miles, very good previous mot history.
Description says undriveable due to underbody corrosion, comparing it to the one I recently sold, which needed a bit of welding, I can't imagine the underneath would be as bad as described, but
seeing is believing.

Re: EBay Finds
Mine was twice the mileage, laid up since March 2018, non runner due to fueling problem and no battery.
Dealer paid me £250 for it recently.
The Endura engine model is a great low maintenance daily runabout, good economy, no complicated electronics, good parts availability, cheap tax and insurance.
If I hadn't have sold mine I would be on my way to buy that one tomorrow.

Re: EBay Finds
This was up for sale near me. Just sold. Not to me but I was awfully tempted.
Head gasket a piece of piss or I would have slotted in a 1098cc that I have lying around in the garden.

Re: EBay Finds
"I won't be starting it due to head gasket gone" translates too the motor is absolutely fucked after being hammered, is siezed solid but I'm going to say it's hydrolocked as it doesn't sound as bad - I didn't realise I was cooking it as I didn't bother to get any instruments working.
