Re: What did you do today?
Our lads didn't have their own cars until they were 21 and had been driving a few years, they were named drivers on our other cars and weren't the main users as they were away at uni so we avoided being bummed by the insurance companies.
Try JJ on AS, he's an insurance expert. I think that he's also on here but don't know his username.

Places like that here usually end up being bought and turned into restaurants, with the parking in the peripheral areas being useful for that.Broccoli wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 3:58 pm Went to the last local car night at the drive in and maybe the last ever as the owner wants to sell up and retire.
Couldn’t move for classic American tin.

This place literally hasn’t changed since the 60s when the current owners dad ran it.
Knowing our luck, it will be sold, knocked down and turned into some trendy apartments.
Hopefully it stays, it's a classic piece of 50's architecture.

More pictures later if I remember, but it was our local car show today and in nice weather for once. Only four miles down the road and what's nicer than a decent XJ? Not fucking much, that's what..

Re: What did you do today?
The lad has finally sold his XJ (308), it's been stood outside for the last couple of years and needs lots of expensive welding (front behind the subframe). He got £700 for it/ I really liked that car; pretty colour and BIG wheels and it did go well. I suppose the XF-R is, subjectively, better, but the 308 was much more a Jag.

I know the CC has its haters - horrible big fat arse etc. But the Merc is having a new DPF sensor fitted and it’s in a queue and I need to move stuff. I am so impressed with this CC.
Even the Jag did a tip run.
