Soon, in Chronicles Of Applying Excessive Force, I shall be dropping the car on the front bumper iron to straighten it.

I once tied a Manta to a carpark and reversed, for the same reason. It worked too.

Unfortunately, some users of the carpark had failed to apply their handbrakes....

Bloody hot afternoon hammering the blazes out of this. Doesn't look like much. Need to trim it down, but ran out of cutting discs because 18ga eats the things.

Then turned it into a race car by altering the tires.

I am unbelievably jealous of you, both cars ( I still have dibs on the other one, right?) and the fact you can still do this sort of stuff. My fucking ill health means that while I 'could' do it, it would take me a day to get all the stuff out and then I'd be fucked for three days!

Keep it up mate you are doing a greaat job :)

Once this is done I need to pull the Chieftain off the road and do the same. It's got some grot in the sills. Uh. Yeah. That's accurate*. The floors need some love and the suspension needs complete overhaul.

That's a little way off yet though.

Oh, on a positive note I found the reason for my mig machine freaking out and running the wire at full speed. The braids that join the jaws on the ground clamp broke so it only makes contact on one side now. I can amend that without much trouble so for now it's just a case of making sure it makes good contact on the side the cable connects to.

That's better. At least it'll carry current from both sides of the clamp now.
