If taking the seller at his word on paperwork, relatively straightforward.

There's always the question, if it's so straightforward then why haven't they bothered their hole?

Depending on exactly what paperwork he actually has probably not too bad, be says he's got something saying import duty had been paid so that's a bonus.
Proof of age of he hasn't got papers in foreign would be the most time consuming but there must be a Skoda club that the DVLA will recognise.

The turbo Montego certainly got some bad press at the time for torque steer.
I guess the front end was the same and they couldn't be arsed modifying it for such a small number of cars.
They weren't that hard to drive. I regularly borrowed the family Montego Turbo back in 1986 when Mutha_Claim was out and I was a bored 16 year old.

The Skoda should be fairly easy to register but just check exactly what paperwork it has as the DVLA can be difficult. I wouldn't worry too much though as if they won't register it you can still use it on the road as long as you are a good driver and only drive slowly every thing will be ok. Wearing a stupid divers helmet helps as well. The only real problem is it is a rear engined Skoda, which it seems everyone has forgotten how bloody awful they were.

Thanks. It's interesting to have someone with real world experience to give their views rather than motoring journalists.

I borrowed one for a couple of weeks back in the day, I thought it was quite fun.

Didn't they do quite well rallying them back in the day?
