What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

It's a feature for Hooli, so that they appear the right way up for him as he's hanging upside down.

Not today, happened Friday but, I was on the piss all weekend so, no report.
In a fit of rage about the Granvia being a cock, I went in for a low cost, high liability car.
Step forward, the cheapest E90 330D available anywhere. It's a bit rough round the gills but, by fuck is it quick. Remapped by the previous dealer/owner and putting out 300bhp or thereabouts.
Gave less than £1500, I expect it to explode in fantastic style. Hopefully after I've fixed the fucking van.

Saw the back of the Jensen GT today. That was a huge mistake and lost over 3 grand on the fucking thing. The Rover P5 arrives tomorrow though so hopefully it will be a better car and won't piss me off so much.

3k wasn't a bad a loss that I thought you'd taken. I'd chalk it up as cost of doing business where sometimes you win and sometimes not. End of the day, people frequently easily loose 3k of depreciation in a year on boring brand new modern stuff like a Fiesta, Corsa and such.

Write it off against profits in the business, at least it's gone now.
When I have a bad bill I often think exactly what Sic has said re depreciation and payments.

When you think back to what I lost on my Bentleys, 3K seems like a bargain! :)

Today, summer arrived AGAIN in Torbay, that's two days of glorious sunshine in the last fortnight, it's bound to rain tomorrow... again.

I was going to take another trip to the beach but the tides were all wrong (it was completely out) so as I was sick of the Merc looking like three quids worth of shit due to our 'No washing your fucking cars' you worthless bastards who we charge a fortune for water, but we are NOT going to let you use it as there are so many leaks we can't be arsed to fix...

So, as the rain has been fairly persistent hereabouts lately, I polished the Merc. Okay, so I used the horrible quick stuff I got from Halfords years ago (that you are supposed to apply to wet cars, how does that work?) and set to. With Bellend's help of course. It did a bloody good job! Okay, it's a silver car so very forgiving of any mistakes with the polish but it really did a good job, I even did the wheels with it.

Car looks GREAT, so I got even MORE enthusiastic and got some Gel stuff out and did the black bits (the wheel arches, the genuine MB mudflaps and then all the black plastic that shows when the roof is down.). I did use the dogs tail to get into the twiddly bits of the wheels, so she earned her Chicken breast tonight.

:)
