Such a departure from Humber tradition. This was the beginning of the end.

Re: EBay Finds
It would make a great historic race car, as seen from other A95 Westminsters raced at Goodwood Revival.
It's doomed.

It was the end of the end, really, I suppose. Had it appeared as the originally intended Sunbeam it's difficult to see Humber lasting another decade without these to sell. I think it was a bit of a stroke of genius on Rootes Group's part, appealing to the sporty young exec. in the same manner as the P6 Rover. Such a nicer car than the 2000E too. Anyway, that's enough waffle - there is shit on Ebay still to be laughing at.

Re: EBay Finds
Nice though they are, the ludicrous wheel size upset the delicate balance. Combined with plain Smiths instruments and that copy of a Chevrolet engine you know Humber was miles ahead. And cheaper to buy today.

I tried to buy a mint one of those years ago, but couldn't get the bank loan. Bloody lovely things.fried onions wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 9:51 pm 'oo wanted one of these?

I flippin' love these.....Sooner have this than either a Phase I or III. Admittedly the later cars are nicer to drive but there is something about these that I really like.
