NP - 1963 Daimler 2.5 v8, early car, MOT till October 23

Good useable reliable car, which has had over £16k spent on her over the last 2 years.
Drives very well, with good mechanicals and higher ratio rear axle for more relaxed motorway driving.
Heated front and rear screens, new carpets, brakes overhauled, fuel system, electronic ignition.....

Car is not perfect, bodywork is mostly rust free, but the respray in blue is not great. Looks fine from 6 feet but up close, it has imperfections - best to view to assess yourselves. A couple of rips in the leather, but interior generally smart.
Chromework could do with improving and headlining sagging a little but not terrible.

Large history file and original service manual.

Collection Tuxford
Like all cars of this age, lots has been spent on it and most of the history file is handwritten.
Last MOT was over a thousand and if you like harvesting bank details they are also handwritten on most of the invoices!

This amused me, a startup procedure complete with the location of the emergency spanner, in case of emergency of course.

Yes, there is water in the boot, the blue paint might put in on the Bender Car spectrum, the seats are torn and maybe I need to see some of the out-takes from the original Wheeler Dealers where untold horrors were found after tear down,

But it has a certain appeal, not as a daily but as a complete antidote to what I have been driving.
A bit of the Gilf about it.

I'm sure that Daimler was pointed out by SiC months ago, possibly being punted on again

Just another tired old Mk2 with shit paint. 16K used to buy you an ex-council house and TWO shit Jags to play with, fuck knows what they got for that money on the "restoration" apart from poundland pageant blue. Yes, I know it is a fucking Daimler but my point remains.
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

We had a couple of eGT's and SRi's at work, great cars. I preferred the SRi with its cloth trim, but performance wise their wasn't much between then.

I wanted to buy one of the SRi's when they came to the end of their contracts, but out fleet management would not sell it to me, as it had to go to auction

I have always kind of fancied one of these and the price seems pretty reasonable. I would prefer the straight six over the V8 but I am weird like that.
