There are worse ways to spaff £10k. Be ideal for the occasional airport run.

That looks lovely. When I lived with my parents there was a bloke that owned a few chemist shops that lived at the top of the street. He'd buy a new one every year. Always a sterling of course. He was very small and dwarfish. Think Warwick Davies with whispy grey hair.JimH wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 9:33 am Sorry if this has been done already.
300 miles, 13K. Being a sad fuck with little in his life I rather like 800s. Had this been a Fastback I probably would.

He must have had them adapted as there's no way he'd reach the pedals.
Around 1988 iirc.

Re: EBay Finds
Local to me, not too far from Alicante airport.
Love these, but there could be lots of issues concerning getting it on to Spanish plates. Not needing an MoT is in its favour, but the lack of VED, even if its free for cars over 40 years, it doesn't show on DVLA website.
Bit pricey?

Re: EBay Finds
80 is the 4 pot engine and so the far less desirable. Everyone wants the smoothness of the 6 pot and who cares about fuel economy on a classic toy.
The P4 is one of those cars that the owners think are worth more than they are now. They think they've increased like many other classics but haven't realised that many pre-80s cars are dropping. At least in the UK and discounting the issues you mentioned with registering it over in Spain. DVLA does mention it's exported though?
Also presumably the interior needs work. That's expensive to do properly.

Re: EBay Finds
Begs the question, who on earth might think this is a good idea...??
A little déjà vu from the Brightwells classic auction, someone has taken a Disco and nailed a Standard 12 over the top.
MOT is expired and vehicle still shows at the DVLA as a Disco.
What could possible go wrong?

Re: EBay Finds
Classic auction is a tad misleading I think.
Auction yes, classic no.
Good luck getting that road legal easily.

The cunt that perpetrated that needs nailing to a Discovery chassis himself. Field Punishment No. 1.....
Cunt.
Not because he used some bits of Standard 12 in his "creation" but because it is such a fucking abominal cunt bucket. Hope he jumps in it on a boiling hot fucking day with ridiculous cargo shorts on.

Mk1 Meganes are rare now. Let's not focus too hard on why that is.
Comes complete with 1.4 litres of rip-snorting, earth-shattering, panty-dampening power.
