What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

03/09/2020 Bought 4 Vredestein Quatrac 5 185/55 R15 82H M+S all season tyres for the Jizz @€76.69 each, free delivery. Had them fitted for nowt as I was getting the wheels refurbed.

28/10/2022 Bought 2 Vredestein Quatrac 185/55 R15 82H 3PMSF. (the successor to the above) @€96.59 each. Local tyre man fitted them, €20 a corner.

21/05/2023 Bought another two of the above @€92.09 each.

First jump 26%, second drop c. 5%. Overall up around 20% in the last 21 months.

Supply chain hyperinflation innit?

Just landed in Houston after a 2.5 hour drive to Heathrow and a 9.5 hour flight.

Another 1.5 hours flight ahead, then the same again to drive home.

I needed to adjust the drivers side fog light on my nissan march (micra)
I changed it out last year as old one was broken but couldn't get the correct one, just a near enough. Was picked up as an advisory last wof as was set too far back. I had fitted it with the minimum of dismantling and couldn't adjust it properly.
To get to it the front bumper assembly, wheel arch inserts and wheels had to come off.
Figured that while I was at it I would try to remove the 2 dents (one from a bird, one from a cat)

The dents were reduced by pouring a kettle of boiling water over them then punching them out by hand, then a bit of cold water to "set" them.
Not perfect but a lot better than they were
Replacement was the reverse of removal (as Mr Haynes always says)
There were a few of the plastic "rivets" missing, so where accessible I replaced with nyloc nuts and bolts and then used the plastic fasteners on the less accessible bits
Took about 2 hours, including watching the youtube video showing me the sequence.

Not me but Mark next door has sold his 911 for £41k. £2k more than he paid for it nearly two years ago. Free ownership with only two services to pay for.
He's getting an evo x fq360 and a 2018 cooper works as replacement. His porsche jeep is up for sale for £12k if anyone fancies being a coke dealer and looking like a cunt. Or you can be cool like me and buy his TT. No idea what his perversion for binis comes from this will be his 20th.
Anyway looking forward to a blast of the evo.

I can't ever imagine owning 20 cars of the same model. Seems crazy to me.

Nor me, if you like it so much then why sell it? I know people the same with bikes though, on their 8th gsx14. Seems daft.
