I paid £142 each on 245/40/18 for Michelin Crossclimates on the A4. Blackcircles have 10% off selected tyres at the moment.

Yeah I spoke to my normal tyre fitter & he said buy them online & he'll fit n balance for £10 a corner. So I'll be looking online soon.

Re: What did you do today?
Aye, I think blackcircles & others charge more than £10 a corner for fitting though.
I'll look around, no desperate rush now. I'm half considering filling the cut with vulcanising solution & ignoring it.

Bloody hell £500 for a set of tyres! Have you not considered buying another car with good ones for the same money?

I've been welding this staircase together over the last couple of days, not a bad moneymaker bringing in £900...

Re: What did you do today?
I'm not sure I'd choose to buy a particular car just because it has good tyres on it! I did splash out as I got Crossclimates too. Unfortunately the A4 suffers from oversized wheels as is the fashion nowadays. But then standard Michelins are only £120 or so without a promo code. I have noticed that Michelin are a bit cheaper nowadays. Too many people putting the cheapest ditch finders on is probably cutting their business up.DodgeRover wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 9:40 pm Bloody hell £500 for a set of tyres! I've got a tendency to avoid Michelins after one of their bike tyres delaminated on me and the companies reaction as to collect the tyre & then utterly ignore me once they had the evidence in their hands.

Re: What did you do today?
I had to work today, no overtime but time off instead, I stupidly used the Chrysler to go to site, ignoring its new, as of yesterday, annoying flashing light telling me that a front tyre pressure sensor has failed; well you can't have just one warning light so today it's chucked up the engine light as well.
The inbuilt diagnostic system shows a fault code, which comes back as an oxygen sensor on the right hand bank of the engine, I bet that will be fun to get at/replace.
