The centre foreground of that Ford pic could almost be the car park at the freight company I used to work for. We had a fleet of yellow Mk3 Escorts, a couple of Cortinas and a Mk1 Fiesta.....I remember one of the Escorts causing a ruckus with the cunt of a manager because one of the agents had put the furry seat covers in his which previously graced the outgoing Mk2 fleet car.
"We give you a car to present a good image and you made it look like Granny's Hillman Imp" I think the rant went. Poor bloke who did it was upset because he only thought he was protecting company property (the cars were often used to take lorry drivers between depots, rarely customers....)
Mind you, them manager was a proper cunt and the only bloke in a 40 year shipping career who I came even close to knocking out. I think somebody actually did some time later.
