I'm not sure how well powder coating will go with a heavily pitted surface. Won't it show through as all lumpy?

Any surface coating, yes. Ideally you want it polished first.

- One person came to view for 1.5hrs and said he'd get back to me. He hasn't got back to me.
- Someone else wanted my phone number and phoned me. He asked to pass my mobile number to his mate as he was interested to view. Didn't hear any more.
- Message to say interested and sort a viewing for tomorrow. He has changed his mind and decided he doesn't want it as he has too many cars and doesn't want another project.

So not a huge amount of success in selling this.

This is why I very rarely sell cars.

95% of the populace are fucking idiots.

Yes unfortunately that is true and why I much prefer coding as a job. That way I'm only surrounded by colleagues who to generally get in the industry need to be smart or insanely clever.

I made a walk and talk video for this last night but of course sods law kicked in and it lost a cylinder. Got it sorted but been flat out all today and not had a chance to write it up. Not sure if the walk and talk video will be of much interest though as it's 20 minutes of me talking to myself and hitting the car with the Eddie Hammer.

Also this looks like it is pretty much sold subject to a deposit.

I think I have reached the limits of what fun I'll get out of this Rover. It'll be sad to see it go but not sure if I'll miss it. Certainly helps that it's replacement is a Spitfire and I'm super excited about getting it.

I've been pondering where to go with that. It will need bodywork eventually but I'm swearing not to go poke it. That is helped by it fully working so less need to be around it for maintenance reasons. Probably spruce up the interior a bit and I've been pondering about converting a classic to fuel injection. Just because.

Mega squirt or speedardrino? I was hoping Zel would convert the blue fire hazard as I thought it might be interesting to see if it made a reasonable improvement.

Bye Rover! Wish I had you longer but I can't keep everything I buy. It's off to a good home that I know will look after it.

I'd be very surprised if it was my last. I just need to get a Spitfire out of my system out of long last.

Get working on that Dolly. I was surprised how much I enjoyed driving/thrashing my younger brothers 1500 TC. He had a minor bump in it soon after passing his test, front wing had to be adjusted* to get it to drive again. He'd lost confidence in the car so asked me to drive it to show him it was still OK. The carbs had been not long set up by a local rally car guru and it went really quite well and handled like a fat mini, very predictable understeer when pushed hard that you could predict to the inch.

A Sprint should be a hoot.

My father said he preferred the Midget over the Spitfire, because the Spitfire rear suspension with its' Beetle-esque tuck in made the back end much less predictable when being pushed than the Midget.
He said the Midget was faster in the corners as a result.
