Crushing a poxy Beetle is nearly as good as a spaz chariot, but without the satisfying sound of shattered fibreglass.

Was outside talking to my neighbour, not seen him for ages (he has cancer and is not in the best of health, off to the hospital on Tuesday for another op - the 3rd- this time the entire colon out) but talk to his wife frequently, she's another of Bella's great loves so always chatting to her dogginess, he's a sound fella, would fit in here a treat, was a prison warden for years, retired and became a Bailiff!

Anyway, he pointed out that someone has deranged the front of the little Vauxhall he bought himself just to keep mobile (his wife has a 23 plate Peugeot 3008 (2008?) SUV type thing. 14 plate, 14000 miles!

The front of it has been backed into or kicked and the lower grill was pushed right back, cracked and broken and wouldn't go back easily. As I was feeling helpful (rare) I went indoors, got the screwdrivers and spanners and with a very small amount of effort, sorted the front out. Not perfect as some clips are broken but back in place, all in one piece and solid and secure.

Good deed for the year done early!

Went to car show, for the first time in years, tonight. Earls Barton near Northampton.
Convinced Mrs and a couple of daughters to come with the promise of a pub dinner.
All three kept asking why so many ordinary cars were in the show field, they pointed out at least one of everything we own and loads of Focuses !
