I wouldn't be surprised if they were the original plugs. Cleaning and resetting the gaps will help.

A plug really doesn't need to be that good to work OK.

Still the same trims on as when I bought it. Tempted to frisbee them though and paint the steels.

No chance of me doing that. What's more likely is blocking the turrets,bigger tires and wide arches so it sits higher,sort of mad Max meets Mondeo.
