What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Sure unless you're using it to recover boats from the sea.

I'm sure that you can find/invent something else to worry about as you have a very impressive record of doing so.

Yes indeed, I'm still worrying about my (now none existent) water leak, the track rod end with the split rubber (oo-er!) the roof lining, the Mercs now flat battery, Chester's various lumps and bumps (he's getting old :( ) and so it goes on.

I even have dreams in which I worry so even sleep is no escape from my own sodding insanity!

You're as bad as my missus, she's always worrying about something usually her health even though she seems pretty healthy.

The latest is that she's now the age that her mother was when she died. Mentioning that her mum had had it a fair bit tougher, having spent a few years, courtesy of Adolf, in the Untermensch camps because of her nationality, just gets ignored.

I don't think my garage diesel heater is appreciating my skinflint used engine oil/brake fluid/carb cleaner/duff petrol mix. Fourth attempt at firing up.

Wire-wheel in the angry grinder chewed itself into my trousers. And stalled. No blood, which is very lucky.

Fitted a centre section and back box to the MG ready for MOT.
Image
Now the back box is complete and not a collection of holes pretending to be an exhaust it is much quieter.

Quiet enough to hear a whispering rasp from the front flexi joint.
Arse!

If anybody wants a ZS/45 centre section I have one standing in the corner, it was too good to bin..

On the subject of exhausts, I found a pile of New but old backboxes in a relatives storage unit.

If anyone has a ZX/Xsara 1.4/1.6 made in 91-98 I can hook you up.

There are about 50 all told, similar ages,
83/90 Escort, Orion 1.1/1.3 I doubt if any of these are left a 1.1 Orion sounds like the motoring equivalent of self harming
94- Laguna 1.8-2.0

I tried a few hurried photos but most were blurry, its a gloomy place

Oof. Very lucky indeed!
I nearly cut my self in half as an apprentice. I was cutting floor boards up with a circular saw in a little airing cupboard. I pulled the saw up to get it out of the way and it ripped a big hole in my overalls across my belly.
It was a massive 'oh fuck' moment. I haven't done it again.
