2 1/2 years, you get less for murder here at times.

Murder is cheaper though. But shows that it's not just the UK's justice system that's skewed away from true justice.

I don't disagree but reading the link it would seem he got most of the bird for swinging the grinder at a copper....

As is often the case. If the berk had kept his head instead of lashing out at a boot boy in blue the sentence would have been very different.
One of the benefits of gluing your hands to the road is that it makes it very difficult for a copper to claim that you took a swing at him.

He got 2½ years for smashing up ½ million Euro of equipment. The second (also crim damage and angle grinder waving) case he got 2½ years with the last 2 suspended to run consecutively so only another 6 months in the clink.mercrocker wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 1:59 pm I don't disagree but reading the link it would seem he got most of the bird for swinging the grinder at a copper....

OK, I must admit I didn't read it very closely and assumed he'd got them the other way around...

R1100RT UPDATE
Stalled it in 4th (because gear lever isn't returning - nylon bushing job to do) 5 mins from work. Wouldn't restart giving that familiar fucked starter motor jingle.
Pushed it to face the other direction and had a go at my old school GP start. First and second goes failed, but 3rd attempt fired. Getting better at this.
Still have to do a GP start in the wet to get home. Should be fun* doing it from cold. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion I'm going to have to split this sod in two and change the flywheel.
In the meantime I've been on DoneDeal and can't find anything useful for less than 2 bags. The world's gone mad.
HONDA JIZZ UPDATE
184K miles and CVT still hasn't shat itself but a front wheel bearing is droning.
Well that went well.

Land Rover 110 UPDATE
I've got loads to write up on this. It's the gift* that keeps on giving. Although I'm not sure if I can relive the trauma of it all again.
