So what now then?

My appointment is at 9.30am tomorrow which doesn't give me a massive window to sort this out with the HMRC.

I could as a worst case scenario wait until the 15th of Feb when my application would be 12 months after my last badge expired meaning that I wouldn't have to provide a tax code. This means another couple of months of poverty and my medical would have expired meaning that I'd have to take another one. I'll make sure that I sign up to the DBS update service meaning that I won't have to go through all this shit again.
