EBay Finds

- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

2 grand minimum to sort those seats. Headlining moused. No fun with 4 cyl.SiC wrote: ↑Mon Dec 19, 2022 10:49 pm One that I'm keeping an eye on as a potential Xmas period bargain. Fallen in price by a good few hundred already. Skinflint me would bite if it carries on falling and goes below 2k. Least desirable engine, nicked plate (in 2007) and not everyone's first choice of classic so might well do.
Also a bit of a bellwether for this type & age of classic car and the current market conditions.

Or just use as just a cheap classic, maybe patching the seat up as a survivor car.
The 4cyl is a let down and why it'd have to be cheap for me to bite. Also why no one else has likely bitten.
(I wonder how well my 1.8t Audi TT engine would fit in )

Don’t spend a penny on it. It’s fine as it is. Basic mechanical/reliability stuff only.

Re: EBay Finds
Portuguese registered Opel Ascona 1.6D together with a load of paperwork which like looks more related to previous owners medical history than anything useful to register with the DVLA

Pardon my ignorance, does the sixty mean sixty horse power?
As I suspected I was right about everything.

P4 numbers are all roughly correspondent to BHP, taking over from the RAC hp rating of previous Rovers - 12/14 etc.
My 110-owning friend used to say it was MPH but whilst that may be partially true it wasn't Solihull's intent....
