Re: EBay Finds
I had a punter who thought that spunking 80 large on some sort of VW camper was a good idea.
I threw other suggestions to him like an Aston V8 Vantage and Testarossa but he wanted the camper.

Ya bad’un!
I just had to have a look on the US eBay… So tempting, but I think I’d rather keep my testicles for the time being. (Some might say, they’ve already gone).

Re: EBay Finds
The thing about the DB7 now is that the Vantage isn't much more expensive and so much better car. My mates V12 Vantage is still one of the fastest cars I've ever been in. Single clutch gearbox made it feel even more violent. Admittedly these are a good chunk more expensive than the V8 and even more so for maintenance. Manifolds needs to come off for the spark plug change!

Re: EBay Finds
That 928 with the missing engine made £5600 which seems a bit silly to me but they sold a restored one for over 15k. Would it cost 10k to get that one up and running ? There is an engine on ebay for less than 2k.

Re: EBay Finds
If it's anything like the Britsh bike market, accurate sets of stamps are available, one bike builder was well known for turning out numbers matching specials - which was a bit of an in joke because the numbers didn't match when they were new...LynehamHerc wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 8:38 pm Do matching numbers count at all in this part of the market?

Re: EBay Finds
Is anybody getting a new pair of BravePants for Christmas ?
A no reserve Bentley might test them to the limit, on £900 at the moment
https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/ ... ect-nrLr78
It is apparently buggered from a reversed polarity jump start attempt.
Salvage rebuilds took on a newer model Bentley damaged in the same way
Part 1
Part 2 (still not running -Cranks, Fires and dies immobilizer issues)
