It's daytime, but raining.

Driver could still use hand signals.

Or did they change the law like it is here, if it's raining or otherwise inclement, you need lights? An age of vehicle/type of vehicle requirement?

I know you can have some vehicles classified there with no lights and a daytime mot.

I'd suspect they'd go with sharp edges that are a dangerer to predestrians

I suspect a technicality exists here regarding presentation of the car to its last MoT and its current condition.

It clearly hasn't been tested like that and so could not have gained the Advisory (often referred to as Daylight MOT) that the vehicle should only be used in clear conditions (not night time or in rain or fog). Furthermore the rear indicators will still be present presumably but not working which also places the vehicle in the unroadworthy class, I believe. He might have been on firmer ground if the rears were also not fitted.

I personally don't think the "sharp edges" would hold up here, although there is obviously exposed lips that would normally be flush to glazing they are not sharp edges.

Sharp edges would have a field day with both my cars- both have pointy/spiky/slicing type hood ornaments...

Would need to have had the rear lights removed or taped over to be legal (and possibly the switch as well).
I'm guessing at a construction and use offense

The front bumper looks factory fresh considering it IS a Mondeo, the car that has Gaffa tape in Ford paint codes.

The rear bumper looks like the zone of shoddyness to be fair if you look at the big picture (Right-Click Open in new window)
