Ordered August 1970, unfortunately it isn't a number directly recorded in the book I have but it does appear very close to a batch of 5 built for the MInistry of Technology - a Wilson-era Ministry that was destined to be shortly disbanded.
There used to be an online tacr1 register that had all 89 serial numbers and their military reg number. Of the 89, 22 were series 2A the rest being series 3. Mine are two of the 2As, so would be 1970/71. Both RAF. 28AG12 and 28AG16.
The tacr2 6 wheelers were built for payload. Big water tank in the back.
Nice little Panhard 24 with some interesting wheels. South of France so probably ok for rot. I really must get this poxy Jensen finished so I can flog it and buy more interesting tat. https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/2252820150.htm
