Think that was the first car id had with an Airbag? It always felt wider than the earlier generation
It was actually delivered to the dealership with sod all oil in it,I drove it down the road and all the warning lights started coming on
When I went back to the dealers i drove it into the service bay and sitting in the corner was a mint yellow mk1 on a 76 "R" plate.
I got talking to the service guy there and he told me it was an old boy bought it in 76 and just got an new one after 22 years and traded it in.
The service guy bought it off the dealership right away and he was putting a brand new old logo design dealer sticker and tax disc holder as the originals were going brown
He had loads of in a dusty box and just replaced them.
I think it was a Fiesta L the interior was houndstooth green with a green carpet.
What a great colour combo yellow with green interior.
I remember my dad going to test drive a Mk2 on an A plate just a few days after they arrived he didn't buy it though he ended up with an Escort.
So that's another classic ford name gone and soon we will be driving Ford Refrigerators and Hairdriers
