While I love a good walk, unless that 5-6 miles has been run then my heart rate gets nowhere near enough to be in the cardio zone. Even though I need to loose weight atm, my main concern is fitness and stamina especially in cardio. The best excercise is walking to the local pool and swimming a mile before walking home again.
Fuck gyms.
I don't particularly like the gym but it's the quickest and easiest way to get that.
Also I find being surrounded by physically fit people is motivating. I.e. if I training as hard as them I'll look like them.
Many of the sights aren't bad to look at either. (Other "views" are available)
