£2000

All mouth and no trousers!

Nice deep green, alloys, front fogs, tan leather interior... and it's a 1.6 auto.

Also, they should clean out those rear arches for crying out loud!

I did quite like the 1.6 manual I had, admittedly. It could get out of its own way. However, there's something to be said for 900cc and two more cylinders in the same car. It's no worse on fuel (due to the 1.6 having quite short gearing) but definitely somewhat more sprightly.

Low miles, cheap 405 for Paul's Mrs? Shouldn't go for a lot as its a 1.6.

Try and find a decent Ally on of those now! I've personally never driven a 405 one but have in a 205. Why Peugeot didn't ever produce it I have never fathomed out, it really suits the 205. 7.2k rev limiter, plenty of power but still with good torque for low down tractability. Add to that that you can't tell any difference in weight between it and the standard 1.9gti means it doesn't effect the handling one little bit.

I may have been told to wash my mouth out with soap after posting on the 405 owners page that the Mi16 was wasted in the 405

Mate retrofitted one in a 205. It made it a proper weapon. I imagine Peugeot didn't as it was even more of a potent widow maker when the driver got it wrong!

It's a bit like Rover should have plonked the 1.8vvc in the metro and rover 100.

I'm the high bidder but it's £50 off my max.
I think it'll go for well over £2k
Anyone want to buy a c90?
