Building the Leg End. The Old Jag thread.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

No it wasn't. It was some Yank Ford dressed up as a faux Jag. It was also built by Brummies.
See above

My 1969 4.2 picture taken about 1992 awaiting its new owner to collect it.
The last of a long line of Jags I had owned before I got married.
Replaced with Marina 1.8 estate due to a growing family and the need for something more practical and economical.

I suspect that it no longer exists - just a hunch.

Been over to Newton Abbot today to visit S and P Jaguar specialists, they have a HUGE number of old Jags floating about, series 1,2 and 3, XJ40s, XJ-S (and a bloody lovely MK2 3.8 in opalescent green) also had one or two newer ones... X type, S types... all very broken! Had a very nice 308 shape Daimler Super V8 on airbags with big wheels (looked mint) and even a newish XF that I didn't like.

I'd absolutely love a Jaguar XJ40. But back in the day, I thought the Rover 800 was a better car.

Daimler Super V8 has to be the pick of the X308s, all the comforts and toys along with a warp drive. I bet it's hilarious to try n drive quick with the soft suspension and smaller wheels.

Not the one you saw obviously, I mean a standard one.

While we're on the subject, this went off to a new home earlier today. Still my favourite Jaguar although I accept that an XJ is a nicer drive.
