No, you have to learn anew how to ride a bike when you ride a Gummikuh.
It's a bit like driving a Model T for the first time.

I found it more like a space hopper tbh, especially in the bends.

Nah. After five minutes I thanked my mate & got back on my Katana, I've never been tempted to ride any sort of BMW since.

I had a Katana, swapped it for a Gummikuh and never looked back.

I had one of those BMW things once, an r80rt.
It was shit.
Took it to my FIL who was a police bmw bike mechanic at the time and he said it was fine, they're all like that.
I done the sensible thing and traded it for a Ducati Paso.
Which was a hoot, and you'll never believe this, reliable.

I believe it. My Moto Guzzis were also totally reliable.
In fact, everything I ever owned was totally reliable, with the exception of Rover P6 V8s and Citroens.

I've had two ducatis and a guzzi, all where absolutely reliable.
The only bike I've had ftp was a Honda CBX, generator failed, had to continue the journey as a pillion on a bloody Suzuki of all things. Think it was a gs400t.
Citroens have been fantastic for me except for one.
A cx25 PALLAS, two ftp's , once for fuel injection relay and once for starter mother failure. Both Bosch components.
It still ranks as my all time favourite car that I've owened though.
I've had many other cx's all were fine except for that one fecker.
