Oh dear. Looks like it's going to need all teh welds, then.
But yeah, as Hooli says, it's cosmetically tidy for a Disco 1 and their value is only going to go up.

Re: Tomorrow I'll mostly be collecting....
I'm undecided about what to do with it, so probably nothing for several years, as per.
I have a 109 with a petrol engine that could use the tdi, but I prefer series LRs to have original engines cos LR snob.
I could keep it as is and trailer it to pay n play off road sites.
I could take the body off and build a series hybrid on the chassis. I have all the body parts to do that. But then you lose the features that make a disco better than a series.
I could take the useful bits off for future decision making and scrap the rest.
But after procrastinating for yonks, I'll probably end up attempting to weld it up.

Or realise you're just baby-sitting for me! If the golf hadn't messed up last weekend this was on the target list...… Saabnut even offered to take it and store it for me. It was tempting…….. But i know of no tame welder 'up there'.
Keep me in mind if you have regrets…….

I'd weld it up. A standard Disco 1 is a joy to drive, especially an ES with all the toys. And if you do a good job on the fettling it should last for ages.
BTW I've just worked it out - this is the one that was advertised on AS, yes? It was a bloody bargain then.

Yes, Mr Cento of the beige.
A nice lad and a pleasure to do business with.
£400 so not too dear and I had the Volvo money burning a hole in my pocket.

That's the price of a decent 300 TDi lump plus stuff like tyres, etc. So the rest's free

Yes.
Done nothing with it as been busy building a house but think I'll probably try and repair it.
