Agreed, it really bloody annoys me, but at least nowadays we get pretty shapes instead of round or square (so boring!).

You could probably make it a lot more interesting powering it with lipo tool batteries - one of those dewalt 56v flex ones maybe.

Re: What did you do today?
Used up most of the first of my three Bilt Hamber cans on the Cowley. Really just a top-up exercise as the inside of the sills still felt remarkably oily from the last application 2 years ago.
Both sills, rear inner wing voids, A & B pillars done. Need to do inside the front passenger door but its too close to the boundary wall so will wait until I use the car again (it had a good run out yesterday - should have done it then, doh). Not bothering with the other 3 doors as they all need welding and I don't want a conflagration in there when they are done. I will also warm the can up in the oven when Mrs Rocker is out, get it nice and thin and run some in between the boot and bonnet skins.
Car's just dripping nicely in the carport now......Minor next and then the T25 which will probably wait until barn time as I have to do that one out in the street otherwise (too tall for carport).

Do you think the quantity of wax that is put into VW Campers, by restorers to mitigate most owners lack of understanding with rust, helps them light up like a candle even more when the fuel line lets go in the engine compartment?

Fuck off, you're just jealous that you don't have one.
Judging by that Jag article I posted a little while ago yours will be on borrowed time soon. How often do you check your fuel lines? Mine are done annually.
