What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

One on my best memories of my 1500 was being able to get it in a four wheel drift around bends in a 40mph queue on a wet A24.
Should have tried in a LandRover fitted with bar grips, will slide at sub 30 mph
I've had a S3 Lt/Wt fitted with some old off road thread and RR V8. It loved to step out on the power and with no power steering there was bugger all controlling it when it did.

Sadly it's rather crispy now but I've only paid scrap value for the car plus the owner has thrown in the original 1500 engine (car has a A60 1622 lump fitted) and gearbox, a shelving unit full of Farina spares and trim and anything else for the car he finds in his House. Shame it's got in this state as not many Sutherland Green Cambridges have survived. He's owned it 52 years- bought from the family of the deceased first owner in 1970.

Nicely purchased Dan. It doesn’t look that bad, at least it’s been kept undercover so shouldn’t be Hampshire levels of rot at least. Did the original dashboard come with it?

Yes the original dashboard is lying on the boot, not sure why the owner replaced it with an A60 one. Will have to ask him when I pick the car up.

The Perkins exhaust fanny mould had torn in a spiral, requiring some fence wire bodgery to get me home the other week.

It has seen the welder before

The gap didn't want to close properly making it easy to blow through with the welder.

All blobbed over. Place bets on how long it lasts.

I spent ages trying to Bella proof the front seats of the Jag, now has netting over the front headrests that meets p with the netting between the seats. Also fitted the new rear seat cover that is supposed to be a hammock... too small and really piss poor bit of design that wouldn't stop/keep safe a bloody poodle let alone 30 kilos of insane Labradog!

It does seem to work as she was still in the back after I went in the shop but she'd obviously tried to defeat it as there was one muddy footprint on the armrest and drool here and there. Looks a right bloody mess though so gonna have a re-think.

Also washed the car and checked levels, water is still correct so I am no closer to understanding where the previous loss was from... if anywere.

How about an original Rangie with a hose down interior?
