What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I may have mentioned it but my mum had made it absolutely clear we aren't too bother trying to sell stuff, just pile the whole lot in the garden and torch it once she's gone are her instructions.

Same as the forest Romanies did and some indeed still do. It went against the grain with me once when a fella I had got friendly with promised me his photo albums of all the cars he had traded right from 1952 to 1970 if anything happened to him.

I didn't quite realise the crack with his traditions and sure enough I bumped into his brother in town one day who told me Stafford had passed away. I made a gentle enquiry about his stuff only to be told the whole caravan was torched with everything in it.....

Bought this. I reckon it'll look great in my Never-done-mite.

Debating whether to rip the internals out entirely or just modify it to run a aux in/Bluetooth module into the original amp.

It'll be an interesting project anyway, personally I would just add Bluetooth keeping original functionality

Have purchased this 1960 Austin A55 which I've been trying to view for a couple of months. Was parked up in 1983 after the owner couldn't select reverse one day and has remained in the Garage since.

Sadly it's rather crispy now but I've only paid scrap value for the car plus the owner has thrown in the original 1500 engine (car has a A60 1622 lump fitted) and gearbox, a shelving unit full of Farina spares and trim and anything else for the car he finds in his House. Shame it's got in this state as not many Sutherland Green Cambridges have survived. He's owned it 52 years- bought from the family of the deceased first owner in 1970.

Depends if it works and what the amp is like. Looking at the back of the radio, it may well be only a single output channel and no doubt quite weedy too. If it works - well it's a Unipart branded radio made in France, so who knows!

Me and a mate who deals in scrap cars are going to drag it out the Garage and put it in his compound, give it a good look over then see how it goes from there. Would be great if it saw the road again just as a scruffy daily driver but not much demand for these as resto projects if a rotbox.
