I found the handle for the parking brake release. The red lens has a flashing bulb behind it that comes on when you depress the brake. Amusingly, I discovered that the parking brake actually works.

The left hand gauges in the car were dirty. The spare ones unfortunately ended up submerged in rainwater in a plastic tote after the storm.

Tested the gauges still work (even the submerged ones!) which is a good thing.

Coat of flat black has it looking nice. Polished the lens up too.

All the beige looking parts of the surround were originally chromed, but that had gone bad with time and damp.
So, the next best thing in my budget, bright metallic silver.
The surround by the words will go light gray and the ribbed bit in the middle will go flat black as it was.
Hopefully that'll look nice.
