What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Been threatening it long enough so this weekend saw the Westminster out in daylight for the first time this year. One section of fuel hose decided it had had enough but apart from that no real obstacles. Couple of miles up the track and back and a gentle wash, I might polish it tomorrow if it's not too hot.

Spoke to my friend about the 3 in 1 welder he's bought. It's this one
https://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayI ... spheader=1
Apparently it's a really nice thing, lays a nice bead with the MIG on steel and he's been welding alloy engine mounts with the spool gun.
It's a lift TIG rather than scratch start - not sure if it comes with a pedal or not.
Quite fancying one TBH

The first one he got was faulty and they picked it up and replaced it no quibble.

Similar to the one I picked up.

Very adjustable, which is fine so long as you have a clue about what you're adjusting...

Lift starts a whole lot better than scratch, maybe not as nice as being able to just push a button but not a deal breaker. I've only used a spool gun once on a demo machine so I'd like to see what that comes out like.

Sitting in the van having some bait from the chinky van in Morpeth and this cunt has just whacked my mirror and folded it flat. He did pull over give him his due but I wonder if he would have if I didn't shout at the fucker.
No damage though.
