Re: Fleet Occurrences
I do like those apart from the fact that they have the handling characteristics of a blancmange.

Re: Fleet Occurrences
My 1.7Td was a great motorway car but as you say not so good on the backroads to work.

Re: Fleet Occurrences
A good one is very softly sprung. I've no interest in hustling along B roads, I'm more of a fast A road kind of guy and I think my fleet suits that.

Re: Fleet Occurrences
I took the Cavalier to Retroshite's meet yesterday, it was an excellent turnout. I met up with a good few folk I hadn't seen in a while and chatted to them for ages.
My favourite car was this beige Solara. It was recently for sale quite cheaply locally with some kind of suspension problem as it was sitting very low on the OSF but it's been fixed now and it looks great.

Re: Fleet Occurrences
Christ it's been a while since I updated this dross. I'll update it one car at a time, no fleet movements since last time.
Red Saab 93:
2 new front tyres tyres I serviced it.
Took it to visit family in NE England, drove it all over including a day in Whitby and it never missed a beat. The wheel bearing is still not loud enough to stop me ignoring it for the time being.
My brother in law is a photographer and snapped it at Preston Park.
I tried to fix the parking sensors but 2 sensors have corroded into the loom so I bought a non holed bumper trim panel and just covered them over.
One of my best buys this car.
More to come.
