Re: Found pics
I hope Warren doesn't mind me plundering his heritage but I was interested in the chimney structure being built by the George Henry Lee department store (any ideas, WTC?) and started poking around in a website. Found this - an International Travelette crewcab. Think it is a 1962 model as they, like Chevrolet, soon abandoned the twin headlamp fashion for their trucks probably on cost grounds. Nowadays the crewcab, or 4 door layout, is a popular configuration for pickups but back when these were built it was rare - Dodge offered it on Power Wagons but the original purpose of the Travelette was to have a camper back fitted at weekends and have a dual purpose work/leisure vehicle.

Re: Found pics
WTF is going on with the panel in front of the door? It looks about three inches lower.
As I suspected I was right about everything.

Probably a cheap fibreglass replacement, they rarely fit properly and you could spot them from half a mile away, especially as people never seemed to paint them.treehugger wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 8:25 amWTF is going on with the panel in front of the door? It looks about three inches lower.

Talking of small(er) Fords....that pic in front of the shops (FP321) is almost completely full of them, just the odd-man-out Standard on the end.....
