Add the shed I'd buy to keep them in & it's more like a million gone, if not more.NorfolkNWeigh wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 10:03 pm The other day, some twat on the radio was saying that nobody could spend a Euromillions jackpot…
I’d have the Z13, H1 and that 350LC in my giant shed along with these two and that’s £100k gone in 5 minutes.

The words 'piss' and 'on fire' come to mind.

The 2.5 Mk1 Granada used to be the default PH car here.NorfolkNWeigh wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 10:03 pm The other day, some twat on the radio was saying that nobody could spend a Euromillions jackpot…

Re: EBay Finds
Like many on here, I don't understand folk who say "how can you spend....xxxxpounds?" They obviously have no fucking interest or imagination in life and frankly waste their hard-earned £2 on a lottery ticket they have no idea what to do with. Fuck going public too.
I wouldn't be buying supercar shit either (well maybe a Maserati Mexico or Lambo Islero) - just a big barn away from every cunt, enough of a house to keep all my shit in and spend the rest of my life buying all that (now overpriced) old crap I couldn't afford even when it was cheap.
Starting with this, for no other reason than it is exactly the sort of car one should rock up at the cheque hand-over in....

Re: EBay Finds
I could see a euro millions winning starting with buying an old castle, maybe the one on the isle of Rhum then restoring it to live in & obviously a large shed to keep shit in.

Re: EBay Finds
I had the 550/4 gave £350 for it then discovered the gearbox would randomly drop out of gear on the over run and it smoked and rattled like a bastard but only when properly hot. Bought another engine from the local Hells Angel's but by that point I had realised it was both heavy, slow and I didn't particularly like it.Warren t claim wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 9:57 pm ebb7.PNG
I remember when these were everywhere. Yellow is the best colour for them too IMHO.

Sold it on with the spare engine and broke even. Spending that money and another £150 on my CB900F2, the quietest CB engine I've ever heard, not wanting to get caught out again this got a decent test ride and it was fine, took it home fitted a new tyre and a motad exhaust, riding it down for the MOT and the gearbox started to make awful noises whenever the clutch was pulled in. Fuck sakes.
Spoke to a mate who had a load of bottom ends as it's normally the cam or submarine chain that kills them and was told to let him know when I wanted one.
Bike got pushed to the back of the shed and he died with his stuff being cleared before I knew about it.
Going on 15 years later now and I need to get onto it at some point....

Re: EBay Finds
My mate had one ‘back in the day’ (shit phrase). Bloody hell it was hard work. Vibrates like there’s no tomorrow, incredibly heavy clutch and suspension that doesn’t work till you’re doing over the ton. They do make a fantastic noise. My Moto Guzzi Le Mans 11 was much easier to ride and I used to always arrive first.Warren t claim wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 9:42 pm ebb5.PNG
Another on my "to do" list but not at £16000.

My bike dreams are few and sporadic these days but one thing I would still like and always will is a Le Mans....
