Back when I was 18 in 1988 these were treated with equal levels of awe and trepidation. Even then they had a following and would change hands for £1500 which was a lot of money for an old bike back then.

I can't say I've ever had the chance to ride one of these either. If back in the 80s you ticked the unlimited capacity box for your Norwich Union rider policy and bought one of these six pot beasts then please let me know what they're like.
