How shiny is that brake sensor connection
I think it's safe to say they are Girling brakes, motor factors have vented disks and two types of pads on the shelf so will pop down there in the morning.

Still no sign of that bloody spring. The seller says he's express delivered another one but no sign of that either.

Re: LDV fettling, again...
Very much not. Single pots with slider setup. It was meant to be a sporty* dizzler but didn't even come with disks on the back

Re: LDV fettling, again...
The back door hinge was a different matter. Everything was crispy and no reference points to work to. 150 quid for a new door apparently so I bodged it up as best as I could. It still closes, locks and unlocks so good enough for now.

Re: LDV fettling, again...
Trying to get the new one in and thru the hole with everything attached and no ultra long pliers was next level dexterity and luck.
I referred to the estate for reference. Same score but it's held on with a cable tie thru the broken ended spring. Mechanics are definitely cleverer than me.

Re: LDV fettling, again...
A clean pass this morning after that fuck on at the weekend and just avoided having to pay for another MOT so I treated the old girl to a bit of Speed Wax to try and keep the dreaded lacquer peel at bay.

Re: LDV fettling, again...
Not too much to report lately. Fuel at my local Co-Op has just hit 2 quid a litre It's now currently cheaper than their normally expensive cooking oil which is still at £1.80, bargain...
I did however have a root around in my store of old shit earlier and found I have still got the electric car polisher I bought about 15 years ago and it still works! I've never dug it out to do a car as I thought I'd have lost the soft polishing bonnet that went with it which was unused. What do you know, it was still with it I still haven't got round to doing the roof on the Quasar as it's pretty fucked but found my Autoglym colour renovator last week, I may try it with that or just go for a gentler option with SRP instead?
I ruined the other coarser bonnet that came with the mop saving on elbow grease polishing and buffing my ceiling.

Still no sign of my spring. I may end up seeing if the one on the estate is the same and trying to swap it from car to car to save on the retest?
