The thing with fins is wether you love em or loath them at least car designs were different, unlike the horrid blobs we have now. I struggle to tell most new cars apart as they all look the same.

we know how much classic fords go for these days
Oh please do get stuffed.
Well that would be ideal for me, except it's approximately double what it's worth if it was a largely rust free example, Tickfords LPG installs were a known problem area too so I'm amazed it's still working!

Subjectively, I think the best era for car design was late 1960s to mid-1990s. Before the mid-60s, most cars were stuffy austere things for men in hats. After the mid-90s most cars became white goods.

Obviously I'm excluding anything French and American from the above period, the best era for both French & American cars was pre-WW2.

But here's a nice picture of a vehicle with fins to cheer Junkman up:

Who gives a shit about cars that are "better"?
I mean a better example. That's fucking horrible - Fiat wheels! That bonnet!

I guess it's still saveable, for now. I await the next round of 'improvements'.

You make it sound as if they were still chucked out of Dagenham in 1,000 a day batches.

I wouldn't give £450 for it.

Things like that were a laugh when they were ten-a-penny bangers. They are simply not worth real money, by any standard that means anything.

Nobody's stopping you from paying too much for a vehicle...
