Yeah, I know - shit number plates and unnecessary Ventora grille.

There is this, though....

I am viewing a car on Sunday.

You lot will like it if I get it.

That's all I'm saying.

I bet we all haven't reached the ripe age necessary to love it.
I mean, at least Mercrocker is old enough now to start liking those Vorxerlz, but fuck me.

Anything with "fins" is desperately shit & trying too hard.

End of story.

Yes John, you are very wrong, it only applies to the larger variety. Restrained, modest and small European fins are excluded. Anything excessively huge is just decadent peacocking bilge.

Who decides what's larger or small? Me.

No, sorry. I'm right on this one.

Junkman, you're the troll for filling this thread with pictures of vomit-inducing penis-replacement yank guff; and Eddie, I've just won the imaginary deciding game of rock paper scissors so it's my opinion that counts.

The very most I'll accept is a vestigial tailfin such as this one on a Lancia Kappa coupé (picture stolen shamelessly from Wikipedia):

And you know what? Even that's a bit weird. Cars do not need fins, nothing needs fins except fish and missiles. And cars with fins tend to drive more like fish than missiles.

No, small practical fins are fine. My late mother's first car was a Triumph Herald. She said you could see all the corners of the car from the driving seat because small fins. She was always* right.
