Presuming left over aluminium from aircraft production? I'm thinking of the way the woodwork is entirely enclosed rather than the ally panels being inset into the frame work as with the Morris wagons of the early 50s.
Yes, certainly a method I would associate more closely with commercial vehicle bodywork of the time....

They did some pretty impressively-propotioned pantechnicon bodies on those, too.

That little pick up is nice but typically after I blew a big chunk of the Bentley cash I found this Maser in the same auction. Fingers crossed it goes for silly money then I won't be kicking myself.
