Re: What did you do today?
You might get a load of codes and warning lights when started up again. Usually need to turn the steering wheel from lock to lock when stationary and then drive off should clear it. Will be codes stored for low power too.
I wonder if it didn't shut itself down properly. Or the battery is dead. Not unusual for them to die suddenly. Especially as it gets colder.

No it was the aldi one. I didn't bother going for the saab one. My jump starter was totally flat too. I'm just hoping she hasn't fried something.

If she has park it at the bottom of a steep hill with the Transhit at the top. The Transhits handbrake might* fail, resulting it careering into the Aldi. Problems solved.

Re: What did you do today?
The Volvo had a flat battery t'other day, due to me cunningly leaving an interior light on after pulling the interior at night. Realised the next day when I went out and the central locking didn't work.

Re: What did you do today?
Wife's 2017 Aldi isn’t a stop start and that has a coded battery.
Just another way of the thriving Aldi scum to make more money out of your misery.
I was told that the Q5s battery was low and it would be $350 plus tax to change it.
New battery at batteries plus was $150ish, but Aldi warned me I might have to have it towed to Aldi for the codes to be cleared, and if it was still drivable, I would have to pay around $100 plus tax to get the codes cleared and the thing running properly. I paid the money under duress and swearing.
Wish the wife would have a less ‘taxing’ car. They are worth bugger all once they hit 100k miles and it’s not surprising why. The same Toyota is still worth 50% of the new price in the US.
Just picked the damn thing up from its most recent service. A prepaid service (where you pay in advance to save money in future) cost is $600+. Because they didn’t factor the need for plugs and cables into the previous $375 prepay.

Re: What did you do today?
They're coded but many have said they just replace them with no problems. Only real problem is if they're completely dead and can get confused when fresh is put in.
Most aftermarket decent scantools can program them in. Even halfrauds shop can.

Re: What did you do today?
Funnily enough I checked the A4 battery as it's original and starting to get tired. These are the options. I've seen many say just change the last digit and it's fine.

Re: What did you do today?
Modern cars are such fun now with smart charge alternator control which is why you have to code in new batteries. They usually work without coding but apparently it shortens the life of the new battery. My other halfs 807 gets through batteries every couple of years for some reason.
