Re: What did you do today?
I've always got a soft spot for an old Skoda, I used to get the odd free driving lesson* from a bird who's kids I used to babysit. It went surprisingly well considering all the jokes that used to get fired around about them back in the day. It was a grey Rapid with black decals iirc?
Plenty of room for more stuff in there too by the looks of it. Slot mags FTW.

Re: What did you do today?
Wife's Alfa Mito broke down on the way home from her work tonight. The battery light had come on on the way to work this morning. She thought she'd make it home, in the dark, in a car with electric power steering.
I put the jump leads on it for 5 minutes which put enough juice in the battery to get the 5 miles home.
Battery drops from 12.2v engine off to 11.9v with the engine running.
Alternator is hiding underneath the ac pump at the back of the engine. Looks very awkward to get out.

You are a glutton for punishment. Were you expecting it to rust before the electrics gave up? #eyetalian
