As started in the 'what did you do today' thread, but actually about a month ago.
I bought a very early D3. Very indeed, probably.
It has no suspension, no blowers, no brake lamps and all of the lamp on except oil and alternator.
It has 10 months mot.
Decent tyres.
Nearly 200k on clock.
Seems to drive ok.
Disco 3 and me
Re: Disco 3 and me
This bodes well....
A long, drawn out process (or looking at the stuff already taken apart and a wiring diagram) leads me to believe that something is not as it should be here. Oh good.
Not shown - glove box out, plastic jar of honey leaking all down dash and glovebox. Half hundred weight of debris and rotten bananas on 'carpet'.

Re: Disco 3 and me
This looks like it could be a bit of a twat to sort out, but I admire your pluck and look forward to a blow by blow account any misery you encounter. I excuse my mawkish interest on the grounds that I've had so many problems with another Landrover product this year I'm wondering if it's just my lack of ability or whether they're all like it. Crack on...

The newer they get, the worse they are. You'd think there is a limit to how bad they can get but they achieve it.

Re: Disco 3 and me
On that note - slightly odd spec imho. Although, well, Land-Rover.
S model.
With rear park sensors.
Rear panoramic roof
Auto Xenons
Front dual zone/rear a/c
Heated front seats a la cloth
Heated rear seats ditto
Harmon Kardon inc Sub
Probably cornering lamps - they'll be a lot more on this subject I suspect. The probably bit, not the lamps.
I guess no cow electric seats/memory is actually one less thing to go wrong. Or slushbox.
